Starting in 2019, the duo have been featured multiple times on BBC Introducing and in NARC Magazine promoting their original music - which include collaborations with international stars (Steely Dan’s Keith Carlock) - and alternative takes on classic songs.

Maria & James grew up listening to a variety of musicians and genres that have played an influential role in shaping their signature sound. Now, having completed their musical Undergraduate degrees at Newcastle University, they aim to offer something different and unique to their fans by creating and sharing original music.For some, music is just a way to let out a little bit of energy, but for Maria & James it’s so much more than that– it’s a way of life.

The duo are open to taking any enquiries about performing at celebratory events.
